Tips & Ideas

Steve Goodey is PropertyTutors mentor for the lower North Island and South Island.

Steve’s own property investment success is impressive however it didn’t happen overnight and it took a fair bit of introspection.

Applying your trade as a full time property investor is where you learn a lot about yourself.  How you cope with the challenges thrown at you will determine the level of your success says Steve Goodey.  It’s easy to let your ego get the better of you and unless you control it you could lose out.

It wasn’t all easy, I’ve been  guilty of letting my ego get in the way at times and it made me buy properties I probably couldn’t afford or should have purchased.

I’ve been know to spend profits I haven’t banked  yet on toys (normally cars) that I didn’t need.

On the flip side Steve’s personality has also provided him with intuition to make the right decisions with his property portfolio.   The rule of thumb is to do a fair bit of introspection often so you know what is working and what is not and what action needs to occur to change your response when faced with the many challenges of property investment.

It’s easy to get a bit carried away when you do a good property deal.  It can lead to you believing you’re invincible and all your property deals will be as fruitful therefore a reality check is required – often.

Steve’s PropertyTutors mentoring program is a perfect fix for the ‘reality check’. Being part of a team of likeminded people achieving outstanding deals puts your own success into perspective.
